What is a Research Analyst
Getting in and Qualifications
Many Research Analysts have degrees in the following subjects:
- Data Science
- Statistics
- Computer Science
- Marketing
A Graduate Apprenticeship in Data Science would also be a good option.
Another way to develop the necessary skills to become a Research Analyst is to secure an entry-level role (for example as a Research Assistant) and gain experience alongside fully qualified researchers. Many research companies offer training schemes that equip employees with the required skills for promotion at a later date.
Membership of an industry organisation can be a valuable way to build contacts within the industry and land a suitable role.
Entry requirements for courses can change. Always contact the college, university or training provider to check exactly what you will need.
